Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager position provides strategic direction and leadership of our commercial division.
This position works collaboratively across the commercial division, facilitating alignment to the company?s core values while ensuring projects are brought to completion to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Demonstrating effective practices and project management duties, including, but not limited to:
* Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the Project team and Hibco staff members
* Establishing efficient and appropriate project governance
* Developing, producing, and maintaining full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
* Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
* Estimating resources and participants required to achieve project goals
* Negotiating and issuing subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, as well as monitoring their progress
* Understanding, communicating, and enforcing contracts and contract documents
* Developing strong communication and partnerships with clients
* Ensuring proper financial management throughout projects
* Building upon a long-term strategy that supports the company?s core values, as well as the needs of the commercial division staff and clients
* Mentoring project coordinators in refining their processes and encouraging professional growth
* Collaborating alongside project managers to develop proactive practices and respond to complex situations and problems
* Delivering timely, reliable, and consistent information to clients choosing Hibco Construction
* Promoting a positive and creative work environment that adopts a sense of teamwork and shared commitment
Education/Qualifications:
* Bachelor?s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field
* Excellent organization and presentation skills
* Firm knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
* In-depth knowledge of the construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices
* Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation
* Ability to influence and foster an environment of shared accountability
* Ability to collaborate with people, processes, and systems
* Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
