*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse distribution processes. This position involves handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining an organized work environment to support our logistics and shipping operations.
*Duties*
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including order pickers and clamp trucks, to move materials efficiently throughout the facility.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals while adhering to safety protocols.
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience (minimum one year) in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as clamp trucks and order pickers is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of work.
