*Job Overview:*
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cement Finisher to join our construction team. The Cement Finisher will be responsible for pouring, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of construction projects, including sidewalks, floors, roads, and curbs. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with concrete materials and tools, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Pour, level, and smooth concrete on surfaces such as sidewalks, roads, floors, and curbs.
* Apply sealing compounds and surface treatments to concrete to protect and enhance its durability.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools such as trowels, floats, screeds, and edgers to achieve a finished concrete surface.
* Monitor and adjust concrete forms and ensure they are properly aligned and leveled.
* Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes as needed.
* Perform finishing tasks such as stamping, texturing, and applying decorative techniques to enhance concrete appearance.
* Monitor weather conditions and adjust the concrete mix and pouring techniques as necessary to ensure proper curing and finishing.
* Collaborate with other construction crew members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
* Clean and maintain tools and equipment after each use to ensure their longevity.
* Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience as a Cement Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
* Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools for finishing concrete.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
* Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
* Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
