Full-Time, Temporary<p>Mulgrave School is one of Canadas leading independent co-educational pre-K 12 day schools, serving the North Shore of Vancouver. We are an established IB Continuum World School with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are now seeking applicants for the role of MYP/DP French Teacher (Grades 7-12) to start immediately. <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities: <p> Teach IB MYP and/or DP French language acquisition courses <p> Demonstrate a deep understanding of and passion for the French language and Francophone cultures <p> Collaborate with the other members of the European Languages team to continuously develop and strengthen our language learning program, both in and out of the classroom <p> Serve as Homeroom Advisor for a group of approximately 12 Senior School (Grades 10-12) students, alongside one other Teacher<p>All Mulgrave teachers are expected to: <p> Develop a classroom environment that builds positive relationships and fosters an ethic of care <p> Design, prepare and deliver learning activities that facilitate authentic engagement <p> Use relevant technology to enhance instruction and learning <p> Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress for the purposes of teaching, learning and reporting <p> Model respectful and timely communication with students, colleagues and parents <p> Endorse the schools mission and values <p>Required Qualifications: <p> Must be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada or be prepared, with our support, to go through the process of applying for the appropriate visa and permissions from the Canadian and BC authorities prior to commencement <p> Hold BC teacher certification, or meet all TRB requirements and be willing and able to obtain certification to teach in BC <p> Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in French, with native-level command of the language, both oral & written <p> Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching French language to adolescents<p>Preferred Experience and Qualities: <p> Experience teaching DP French <p> Involvement with the IB Educator Network as a Workshop Leader, Examiner, etc. <p> Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team <p> Strong organisational, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills <p> Experience teaching within the IB DP framework <p> Knowledge and understanding of the International Baccalaureate programmesCompensation:<p>The base annual salary for this position is competitive and falls within the range of $70,000.00 - $119,000.00.
