*Position Overview*
Are you passionate about providing solutions for your customers that add value to their business while providing an exceptional customer experience? We are seeking a dynamic sales professional to drive the Vermeer business in northern Alberta. If you excel at building relationships and creating value for customers, we want to hear from you!
*What You Will Do *
* Customer Account Management: Establish and maintain customer accounts by effectively managing work schedules and itineraries to engage with both current and prospective customers.
* Sales Process Oversight: Ensure that sales presentations, quotes, and orders align with customer needs and Vermeer Canada?s requirements. Oversee the entire pre-sale and after-sale process, providing timely follow-ups.
* Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer concerns by investigating problems and offering solutions that enhance their operations. Provide exceptional customer service to strengthen the Vermeer brand in your territory.
* Market Analysis and Reporting: Analyze market trends, sales forecasts, and business plans. Manage customer-related data, assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs, and support company functions such as trade shows.
* Team Collaboration: Contribute to team success by assisting or referring to other representatives as needed and supporting Vermeer?s overall objectives.
* Equipment Demonstration: Demonstrate equipment to customers, providing comprehensive information on operating, servicing, warranty, and parts.
* Reporting: Submit complete and timely information reports, including MOT requirements, call reports, prospect lists, work plans, expense submissions, and vehicle reports.
* Professional Representation: Maintain a professional presence, ensuring positive brand representation both in the field and in meetings.
* Policy Adherence: Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on health and safety requirements.
*What We Are Looking For *
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach and a readiness to take initiative.
* Sales Orientation: Ambitious, goal-oriented with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to achieve sales targets.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including face-to-face, telephone, and written correspondence.
* Experience: Previous experience in heavy equipment sales with a proven track record, preferably within the utility industry.
* Certifications: Sales or marketing certification is preferred.
* Licenses: Valid driver?s license required; Class A license preferred.
* Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
