Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Assign sales workers to duties. Operate cash register. Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems. Perform data entry. Provide advice about merchandise. Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce. Provide customer service. Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services. Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease. Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease. Maintain sales records for inventory control. Assist in display of merchandise. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
