*Rock Construction & Mining Inc. *(RCMI) is seeking a dedicated *Senior Accountant* to join the financial team at our office in Kamloops, BC.
The successful individual will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, provide strategic guidance, and drive improvements in our accounting processes. This position requires a strong leader with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of accounting principles.

*Duties*
* Manage cash flow + prepare cash forecasts
* Manage loans / leases and seek equipment financing when required
* Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
* Manage month-end and year-end closing processing, including reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies
* Oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
* Review subcontracts for invoicing information
* Prepare job costing on a monthly basis
* Obtain equipment financing
* Oversee CRA audits
* Inventory management
* Liaise with bank representatives
* Record asset additions / disposals
* Oversee rental agreements
* Secondary AP approvals
* Oversee, guide, and provide feedback to accounting analyst
* Provide guidance and mentorship to CPA student
* Oversee clockify (daily hour tracking)
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
* CPA Designation Preferred
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
* Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross function teams
