Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex. Room and board provided. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Empty trash cans and other waste containers. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Advertise vacancy. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants. Supervise other workers. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Equipment: Carpet cleaning machine. Waxing machine. Power tools. Power lawn mowers. Security system. Small tractors (lawn/snow removal attachments). Snowblower. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Basic security clearance. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Flexibility. Initiative. Judgement. Organized. Reliability.
