For more information regarding the Labrador-Grenfell Zone and practicing in Newfoundland and Labrador please visit the following websites: www.lghealth.ca and www.nlhealthservices.caQualifications:" Graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program is required and the successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program;" Current and continuing practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) as a Nurse Practitioner is required;" Canadian Nurses Association certification in "Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing" is an asset;" Demonstrated progressive clinical leadership skills and excellent communication skills;" Strong abilities in the areas of collaboration, clinical reasoning, professional development, interpersonal effectiveness, conflict management and teamwork;" Demonstrated ability to function autonomously in and advanced practice role;" A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance;" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct and vulnerable sector check;Duties: (Included but not limited to)" Provide Acute Care support to the regional 6-bed Mental Health Unit in Happy Valley-Goose Bay as part of a collaborative team of nurses, physicians, and other health professionals;" This is a highly progressive nursing position responsible for assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up of clients on the Mental Health Unit;" This position is responsible for ordering diagnostic testing, laboratory testing and prescribing medications as deemed appropriate;" The incumbent may assist to facilitate transfers to appropriate settings or arrange community-based follow-up as required;" The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risk and implementing improvements; " Consults with clients, psychiatrists, physicians, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate plans of care are developed, implemented, and monitored;Salary:" NP-35 of the RNUNL salary scales, $50.28 - $62.40 per hour, plus applicable Labrador Allowance; Incentives:" Approved relocation expenses with a two-year commitment to our Zone" Applicable Labrador Allowance" Temporary Accommodations available" Employer-sponsored RRSP" A Competitive Benefits PackageHours of Work:" 75-hours Bi-weekly: Variable Shifts;Interested applicants please submit resume, stating competition number 2023000651NNL Health Services - Labrador-Grenfell Zone Values Diversity and is an Equal Opportunity EmployerNL Health Services - Labrador-Grenfell Zone is a Smoke and Scent Free Organization"If this is an internal posting only, only applicants of the Labrador Grenfell Zone RNUNL Regional Bargaining Unit will be considered.
