Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Work setting: Urban area. Rural area. Various locations. Tasks: Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations and contours. Determine precise geographic locations using global positioning systems (GPS) equipment. Prepare detailed drawings, charts and plans and survey notes and reports. Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities. Computer and technology knowledge: Geographic Information System (GIS). Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. AutoCAD. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Windows. MS Word. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel regularly. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Walking. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Organized. Team player.
