Job details
*Blue Star Ford Lincoln*, located in Simcoe ON. (beautiful Norfolk County, just 30 min. south of Brantford) is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Professional, to join our Team, as *Financial Controller.*
*Primary Responsibilities for this role will include, but may not be limited to the following:*
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department for 2 New Vehicle Dealerships
* Responsible for the overall financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and accounting practices
* Provide superior customer service to all operating departments (including Sales, Parts, and Service) within the Dealerships
* Produce accurate monthly financial statements to the specifications, and on the timelines of the Manufacturers
* Create, maintain, and monitor internal controls
* Collaborate with vendors and department managers to implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives
* Provide financial analysis and input to Senior Management, for forecasting purposes
* Coordinate the provision of information to Auditors, for Annual Reviews
* Ensure compliance of Provincial & Federal Government reporting requirements & tax filings
* Additional projects as assigned
*Education & Experience*
* University Degree or College Diploma, with a concentration in Accounting or Business Administration
* Previous experience as a Financial Controller, CPA, and/or Director of Finance, would be considered extremely valuable experience for this role
* Automotive Experience, New Vehicle Dealership Accounting (would also be considered a very strong asset)
* Experience with Dealer Management Software (knowledge of PBS would be a definite asset)
* Strong systems skills, including advanced Excel knowledge
* Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, and work in a team environment to ensure reporting deadlines are met

* Detail-Oriented with excellent Time Management skills
* Self-Motivated & Driven
* Ability to work well with others
* Experience in a Supervisory Role in an Accounting Environment, would be an asset
