Personal Support Worker Program Continuing Education <p>September 24, 2024 - August 31, 2025Job Description & Requirements :<p>The Simcoe County District School Board, Adult and Continuing Education Department is accepting applications for the following position:<p>Teachers: Personal Support Worker - Part Time ProgramPotential Location : Barrie<p>Time of work: Various start and end dates beginning September 24, 2024 to August 31, 2025<p> Evenings 5:30 - 8:30 pm (two evenings per week) and 9:00 am 3:30 pm (alternate Saturdays) (during theory portion of the part time program)<p> Non-traditional hours will be required both weekdays and weekends (for cooperative education placements)Program includes teaching various Health Care related credits: HHD3O - Dynamics of Human Relationships<p> PPL4O - Healthy Active Living Education, Part 1<p> TPJ4M Health Care<p> TOJ4C Child Development &Gerontology<p> TPJ4MC Health Care (Coop)<p> TOJ4CJ Child & Gerontology (Coop)QUALIFICATIONS: RN or RPN Current, non-restricted certification with the College of Nurses required <p> Occupational Therapist, Physio Therapist or Kinesiologist (current certification with college)<p> Experience in the PSW field or in supervision of health care or home support care<p> Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualifications Co-operative Education qualifications and experience preferred<p> Experience in working in D2LPlease note: Non-qualified teachers who hold the other required qualifications may apply to this posting but will only be considered if qualified teaching staff are not available.<p>APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED ON APPLY TO EDUCATION UNTIL Friday, September 6, 2024 AT 4:00 P.M.
