There will be required in-service for the successful candidate to complete. The assignment within this position may not be identical to the assignment as indicated in this posting.<p>Deadline for Applications: Monday, September 9, 2024 12:00 pmElectronic Applications must be submitted through Make A Future www.makeafuture.ca and include a Cover Letter, Resume, Teaching Report, Transcripts & the names of two (2) current supervisors who can comment on your teaching.Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience: <p>extensive academic training and post graduate coursework in the following areas: students with special needs; assessment/testing theory and practice (Level B); strategies for adapting and modifying curriculum<p>knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as outlined in the Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines for Special Education Services<p>demonstrated experience and ability in being able to carry out a variety of assessments, including classroom observation, curriculum based assessment and diagnostic teaching methods, administration and interpretation of Level B Assessments including the WIAT, PPVT, Key Math and TOWL<p>demonstrated experience in and knowledge of methods for evaluating and selecting instructional materials suitable for students with a variety of special needs and learning disabilities<p>knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of CBIEPs in consultation with the classroom teacher(s), parent(s), student and district personnel<p>extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment <p>knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment <p>demonstrated sensitivity, awareness and understanding of child physical and social/emotional development and enthusiasm for working, and developing positive relationships, with elementary-aged children<p>demonstrated ability to select, adapt and differentiate classroom management and instructional materials to meet the individual academic, social/emotional, and behavioural needs of all students<p>demonstrated experience and ability to plan for, motivate and successfully teach students with diverse learning abilities at the Kindergarten to Grade 5 levels<p>strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to plan program support for multiple students to determine instructional grouping and lessons<p>willingness to teach and collaborate others teachers classroom (co-plan and co-teach)<p>demonstrated knowledge of a comprehensive literacy/numeracy programs and instruction<p>ability and commitment to utilize a variety of district and classroom/school based assessments for allowing students to show what they know and using evidence to plan for instruction and intervention<p>demonstrated ability and experience in tracking and monitoring student ability and achievement <p>willingness to collaborate with Learning Services staff and classroom collea
