This is a permanent position. <br> <br>Your responsibilities will be: <br>- Administer the entire payroll process: from validation of hours worked (attendance, absences, vacation) to payment of wages and benefits; <br>- Ensure that payroll calculations comply with applicable laws, terms and conditions of employment, and collective agreements; <br>- Ensure the calculation, maintenance and accuracy of the various time banks (vacation, various vacations, time accumulated for step changes, etc.). <br>- Ensure proper processing of special files such as maternity, disability, unpaid and deferred leave; <br>- Act as a resource person for employees, managers and the Human Resources Department regarding payroll, pension and taxable benefits; <br>- Act as an expert in timesheet management, suggesting process changes or improvements to increase payroll processing productivity; <br>- Answer questions from managers and employees as a Kronos super user, and may be called upon to provide training as required; <br>- Be a key stakeholder in various projects related to payroll and human resources; <br>- Coordinate and supervise the work of the Payroll and Benefits Assistant; <br>- Participate in the year-end process, analyze discrepancies and make corrections as required in the production of tax slips; <br>- Ensure insurance follow-up (complete cycle) - movements/changes in employee files via Orchestro, invoice validation as well as accounting entry and calculation of retros by the employee (insurance table); <br>- Communicate with various organizations to ensure follow-up of absence files (disability, maternity, without pay, etc.); <br>- Perform month-end activities.</p><p>- College diploma in an appropriate discipline; <br>- 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in a similar position; <br>- Experience in a unionized environment acquired in a medium or large company; <br>- In-depth knowledge of the complete payroll cycle; <br>- Experience with the Employeur D payroll processing system and the Kronos timesheet management system (important assets); <br>- Basic accounting experience; <br>- Excellent communication, listening, collaboration and interpersonal skills - Excellent adaptability to work in a changing environment; <br>- Good analytical and problem-solving skills; <br>- Fluency in spoken and written French; <br>- Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel [advanced]); <br>- Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) (an asset).</p>
