Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Estimate costs and materials. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Work with minimal supervision. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
