Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Work setting: Remote location. Tasks: Cultivate on vertical farming system. Direct agricultural crops deleafing activities. Greenhouse cleaning. Maintain financial and production records. Negotiate with clients for provision of services. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Maintain quality control and production records. Maintain work records and logs. Hire and train staff. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties. Supervision: 3-4 people. Type of crops: Greenhouse vegetables. Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Gloves. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
