Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Transportation. Tasks: Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments. Prepare and submit reports. Arrange for maintenance and repair work. Ensure proper functioning of equipment. Maintain work records and logs. Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports. Train workers in duties and policies. Arrange training for staff. Conduct performance reviews. Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices. Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations. Maintain vehicle operator work records. Respond to urgent calls from individual who find themselves in life threatening situation and who require assistance . Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Computer and technology knowledge: Dispatch management service software. Monitoring and tracking software. Electronic scheduler. Electronic mail. MS Outlook. MS Excel. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. MS Windows. Adobe Acrobat Reader. MS Office. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.- LocationMississauga, ON
