The Frobisher Inn is a premier destination in Iqaluit, NU, offering a distinctive dining experience across multiple venues. As the Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to elevate our culinary offerings and leave a lasting impression on our guests.
*Position Overview*
As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for:
* Managing and leading the culinary team across multiple dining establishments
* Overseeing menu development, ensuring culinary excellence and innovation
* Implementing efficient food cost management and waste reduction strategies
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen hygiene
* Collaborating with management to drive culinary initiatives and exceed guest expectations
*Qualifications*:
*Education and Certificates:* The ideal candidate will possess:
* A degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field
* Red Seal certification or equivalent (Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program)
* Food Safety certificate (e.g., Safe Food Handling Certificate)
*Experience and Skills:* The ideal candidate will also possess:
* Proven leadership experience in a high-volume culinary environment
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage food waste and cost of sales
* Creativity, passion for culinary excellence, and a drive for continuous improvement
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* A commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety
*Additional Expectations: *
This is a hands-on managerial position that also requires the Executive Chef to actively cook and provide training and guidance to other chefs, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes and the professional development of the culinary team.

Pay: $80,000.00-$96,000.00 per year
