*The challenge: *
The Production Manager will ensure the efficient and effective operation of CEGEN?s shop floor. This disciplined and results-driven leader will set the pace, goals, and objectives. Oversight of the production process will include maintaining quality and safety standards, while ensuring timely completion of production schedules based on timelines and revenue streams, optimizing resource use, and managing costs.
*What you'll do:*
* Understand and enforce ?on-time/on-budget? practices, demonstrating a sense of urgency and efficiency
* Develop and implement shop floor production schedules to meet project team demands and business goals
* Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
* Monitor production costs and implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
* Forecast and allocate resources efficiently to align with production schedules, including labour, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity
* Enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures, addressing non-conformities promptly and implementing corrective actions
* Implement and lead the QA/QC program to reduce cost overruns or missed deadlines and increase client confidence
* Quickly identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
* Lead, train, and motivate the production team, clearly communicating performance expectations and holding team members accountable to achieve performance targets
* Have a finger on the pulse of the CEGEN production and a clear view into the future based on strong communication with sales, project management and leadership
* Coordinate with Projects and supply chain team members to align production with market needs and inventory levels
* Ensure the availability of raw materials and components required for production
* Develop strategy to achieve Global Sustainability targets within the facility

What you'll have:
* High school diploma
* Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training/certification
* Proven track record in related manufacturing
* Journeyperson ticket in welding, electrician, sheet metal, or millwright certification would be a big asset
* At least 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong, unwavering commitment to maintaining strict production schedules and quality standards
* Relentless focus on achieving production goals and continuously improving processes
* Strong tracking, analytical and reporting skills
* Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
* Skilled and experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
* Ability to build a cohesive and high-performing team, fostering collaboration, trust, and mutual respect among team members
* Exceptional written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with all stakeholders
