*JOB DESCRIPTION*
This is an opportunity for an exceptional candidate to enter a sales position with a progressive organization that values its employees, has strong values, great corporate culture, and ethical business practices. The primary purpose of the role will be planning, developing, and managing a sales territory, targeting existing and new opportunities in line with corporate strategies and objectives. The position reports directly to the V.P. of Sales and Marketing.
*POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES *
* Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve national and local Sales objectives.
* Achieve satisfactory margin ratio and market share in relation to predetermined national requirements.
* Identify sales leads and evaluate service markets while adjusting marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
* Meet with prospects to determine requirements and gather market information.
* Monitor competitor services, sales, and marketing activities. Establish and maintain a consistent professional image throughout all services, promotional materials, and events.
* Meet sales budgets and performance goals.
* Direct marketing efforts, develop activities, and coordinate sales efforts to meet Local & National Sales Objectives.
* Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote company service products.
* Meet customers and assist sales representatives across our offices in maintaining current customer base and establish new relationships and closing deals.
* Coordinate liaison between customers and customer service departments.
* Use, adopt and support all customer activities through our CRM, allowing corporate to monitor sales performance and optimize objectives.
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
*Education, certification(s), skills, and experience:*
* Completion of a recognized post-secondary Sales and Marketing program.
* Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience with at least 3 years? experience within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry preferred.
* A strategic sales approach and the ability to create outside-the-box solutions.
* Strong understanding of the sales process.
* Entrepreneurial attitude, competitive, and confident personality.
* Must be resilient, a strong hunter mindset, and someone who understands the market.
* Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales & service issues.
* Proven presentation skills.
* An experienced and professional negotiator
* Adaptable to changing needs of clients.
* Effective and consistent follow-up skills.
* Previous experience or working knowledge of CRM systems is an asset
* Team player with a can-do attitude.
* Travel within Vancouver and the lower mainland is an ongoing requirement of the position. Therefore, the successful incumbent for the position will require to have a valid BC driver?s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
