Job Description Clerk II, Permanent Full-TimeHuman Resources Department, Excite Building, Grand Falls-WindsorDefinition of Work: Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Recruitment, the Clerk II performs clerical and administrative work in support of recruitment operations while providing administrative support to various departments of the Human Resource department as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for filing, data entry, scheduling interviews, new hire follow up, collecting documentation and other related duties as required. The successful candidate will assist job applicants and newly hired Central Health employees. The Clerk II will be directly engaged with employees and applicants, and as a member of the Human Resources team, will help to create a positive employee experience at all stages of recruitment and employment commencement. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications:- Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.- Completion of a two-year office administration program or completion of a three-year Business Management Program approved by Central Health.- Recent experience in administrative support with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Human Resources operations.- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute. - Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills are essential.- Attention to detail and effective time management skills. - Demonstrated ability to be able to exercise initiative and good judgment, as well as, the ability to work with the general public and clients with tact, diplomacy and in a supportive manner. - Proficient in the use of computers and software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.- Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.- A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.Hours of Work: 75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)Salary: CG-23 ($22.06-$24.25) non-union, non-managementCompetition No.: P-2024000871-REGClosing Date: June 6, 2024Central Health is an equal opportunity employer.We thank all candidates however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
