Our mechanics work on light fleet vehicles, school buses, plow trucks and heavy equipment. This work is vital to keep the Province's fleet safely on the road. What you will doAs a member of the Vehicle Management Agency, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:various welding, fabrication and metal cutting duties; including the fabrication of new plow truck components; assembly of new plow truck units; fabrication of inventory items; refurbishment of fleet components; repair and maintenance of fleet assets. Work environment Office location: Sussex Repair Facility 40-hour work week, with variable hours, including, evenings and weekends, when required. We promote a scent-reduced environment. Some travel within the region will be required.Who you areKey behavioural competenciesCommitment to Learning Teamwork and Cooperation Effective Interactive CommunicationEssential qualificationsPossession of an approved F4 welder's certificate as issued by the Province of New Brunswick A minimum of three (3) years related work experience. Valid Class 5 driver license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.Please attach a copy of your valid welder's certificates with your application.Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.
