Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. In/on water. Tasks: Command and operate ships or vessels to transport passengers and cargo. Ensure safety and comfort of passengers. Determine geographical position using navigational instruments, maps and charts. Maintain vessel's navigational instruments and equipment. Control, steer and navigate a vessel in various waterways. Record vessel's progress, weather and sea conditions in ship's log. Supervision: 11-15 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Transport Canada Certificate of Competency. Marine Advanced First Aid. Marine Emergency Duty (MED) Training Program. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Personal suitability: Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. Experience: Experience an asset.- LocationMobile, NL
