District Principal, Learning Support Services <p>The Abbotsford School District is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the of the St:lo people, the Sem:th First Nation and Mathxw First Nation. Their role is to maximize the learning potential of all children. This includes providing leadership to educators and support staff, such as teachers, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and vision and hearing resource teachers.<p>We are seeking a leader with a strong understanding of inclusive education policies and practices, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to design innovative programs and solve complex issues in partnership with stakeholders including students, families, staff, community partners and provincial organizations.<p>Qualifications A Masters degree in Educational Administration, Special Education, Counselling or related discipline<p> Successful leadership experience, preferably at both the school and district levels<p> Extensive experience with inclusive education and at-risk learners<p> Applied knowledge of the BC Curriculum and Ministry of Education Inclusive Education Policies<p> Demonstration of district leadership competencies with particular attention to resilience, capacity-building, visionary leadership, decision-making, and learning leadership.
